Neymar Prioritizes PSG and Makes Major Lifestyle Decision

It’s no secret that Neymar Jr. likes to have a good time. He’s a famous footballer with millions in the bank after all. However, it appears his partying ways may be a thing of the past…at least temporarily.

Neymar’s 28th birthday is on February 5, just 13 days before Paris Saint-Germain’s pivotal UEFA Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund, and according to UOL, the Brazilian has “informed the staff and business partners that he will not repeat last year’s bash.”

The news shouldn’t come as a surprise. A more subdued birthday celebration was recently hinted at by someone close to Red Bull, one of Neymar’s major sponsors.

According to the UOL report, friends and relatives are expected to celebrate Neymar’s birthday but overall, it will be a more reserved affair.

The reason for the change in plans shouldn’t come as a surprise. This season, Neymar has been the consummate professional and by not having a lavish birthday bash, he’s not feeding the media trolls who want nothing more than to criticize him for partying instead of worrying about the upcoming tie against Dortmund.

Neymar has been spectacular on the pitch this season for PSG. In 16 total appearances, he has scored 13 goals and recorded 8 assists. He’s happy, healthy, and if things continue the way they’re going, he could very well lead PSG to Champions League glory.
