Proof That Neymar is Happy at Paris Saint-Germain

On Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain defeated AS Monaco 4-1 at the Stade Louis II to extend their lead at the top of Ligue 1.

Neymar Jr. recorded a goal and an assist to propel PSG to the comfortable win and after the match, the Brazilian was clearly in a good mood.

Shared on Instagram with his 131 million followers, Neymar is shown attempting to take a selfie of several teammates. Only it’s not a selfie, it’s a video and there’s an awkward pause until Thiago Silva figures out what’s going on much to the delight of his compatriot.

While it’s just an innocent video, it does shed light on Neymar’s attitude at PSG. Last summer, Neymar tried to force a transfer back to FC Barcelona and cited his unhappiness at PSG as the primary reason. Anyone who watches this video or the one where he’s dancing with Kylian Mbappé would definitely say this is not someone who is unhappy.

Further proving the point, ESPN recently reported that Neymar is open to signing a contract extension at PSG but that likely depends on how far the club goes in the UEFA Champions League, which is primarily his responsibility.

We can worry about contracts after the season. For now, let’s just enjoy the comedic timing of one of the best footballers in the world.
