Footballers are just like us when it comes to celebrating the new year. Well, maybe not exactly like us.
On Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain players bid adieu to 2019 and welcomed 2020. In the case of Neymar Jr., he took the opportunity to post a photo on social media with a cryptic caption that read: “2019, the year of learning 🙏🏽🙌🏽 blessed.”

We don’t know what 2020 will be the year of but PSG supporters hope it is a healthy one that finally brings a UEFA Champions League title to the French capital.
Neymar, who is healthy for the first time in a long time, celebrated the new year in Barra Grande with several of his closest friends, including Jota Amancio who documented the trip with a photo of Neymar’s crew on a boat.
The night before, Neymar channeled his inner-Lavezzi and partied on the beach as shown in this video that lit up social media.
Other PSG players had a much more subdued new year than Neymar but it’s clear they all took advantage of the extended time off. Everyone returns to Paris on January 2 to resume training for a hellish January that could see PSG play eight matches.
