Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to replace the reproduction that Kylian Mbappé will leave behind. The 25-year-old reportedly intends to depart after this season, when his contract expires in June. As a result, the Parisians need to begin looking at targets.
One report this week linked Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez to the French giants. Nonetheless, the Serie A club has no desire to let the Argentine leave. Inter Milan club chief Giuseppe Marotta addressed the rumors on Friday.
“We do not let ourselves be influenced by the media because we are Inter, and I do not see the difference between us and PSG,” Marotta told Sky Sport (h/t Le10Sport). “They may have different goals, but we have strong ownership, we are competitive. We have important goals, and we want to focus on this path.”
Loïc Tanzi from L’Equipe reports that PSG is gearing up for a busy summer transfer window, aiming to bolster their squad with numerous new signings across various positions.
Furthermore, with Mbappé’s departure, PSG will save around €200 million annually, which they intend to reinvest in the transfer market. The club is poised to embark on a substantial recruitment spree, seeking to bring in a diverse range of talented players.
It remains to be seen whether PSG’s rumored interest in Martinez will materialize into concrete negotiations.
