Premier League Move? Arsenal, West Ham United Keep Tabs on This PSG Star for January Window

Ousmane Dembélé isn’t off to the best start statistically in Year 1 with Paris Saint-Germain. The 26-year-old has yet to register a goal or an assist through five games in all competitions.

The former FC Barcelona could be one and done if the situation doesn’t improve. Steve Bates reports that a couple of Premier League clubs could be vying for the Frenchman, who will have a market for his services despite his early struggles.

Arsenal, Tottenham, and West Ham are closely monitoring how the circumstances develop heading into the winter transfer window. Bates notes that PSG suggests he may be allowed to go on loan to the Premier League in January if Luis Enrique decides it’s an option.

Dembélé reportedly rejected several contract offers at Barcelona and has now completed a transfer to PSG for €50.4 million.

The Spanish club was keen to keep hold of the French forward. Nonetheless, as he entered the last year of his contract, they were unwilling to lose him for nothing next summer.

While the numbers aren’t showing up on the stat sheet, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner isn’t playing badly. He recently made CBS Sports’ Team of the Week for Matchday 1 in the UEFA Champions League.

Additionally, after giving him the No. 10, it’s hard to envision PSG letting him leave, but strange things have happened. Not many expected Neymar Jr. to leave this summer, and he left, so sometimes expect the unexpected.
