PSG Mercato: Paris SG Transfer Target Continues Discussions with Barça

Paris Saint-Germain will be in the market to make their forward group younger, and one of the targets connected to the capital club over the last few months is FC Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembélé.

The 24-year-old’s contract expires in June, and he has yet to reach a contract extension with the Spanish club. Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano updated on how those discussions are going with May already arriving.

Romano states that Dembélé’s agent and Barcelona met on Wednesday to talk extension. However, the Italian football reporter adds that the France international knows that staying with the La Liga side could mean losing money, as he has already received better proposals.

Dembélé has not settled yet on his future, and he’s happy with new Barcelona manager Xavi. Furthermore, the Spanish side will attempt to find a solution to improve their bid.

Another meeting between the two parties is scheduled so they can discuss an extension again in the coming days. Despite no deal yet, Romano says that the feeling was good between the two sides, but Dembélé is taking his time.

Back in March, a report suggested that PSG could be the club that Dembélé signs with when he becomes a free agent this summer.
