Pundits have been critical of Paris Saint-Germain for not having a locker room that’s French first. As of now, many know that the squad has more of a South American influence. However, that could be changing.
One player on the way out is Ángel Di María, whose contract will expire in June and someone that could replace him is FC Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembélé. According to L’Equipe (via Paris Fans), everything indicates that it is indeed PSG which is in pole position to land him.
The French media outlet adds that the French giants established the contacts with Dembélé’s entourage in December could resume soon so that the two parties can find common ground.
Nonetheless, nothing has been done yet, and Barcelona could return to the race to accelerate talks with the France international in hopes of reaching an extension. However, L’Equipe added that an extension with the Spanish club is difficult, but not impossible.
Dembélé is in his best form at the moment. In the last ten fixtures for Barcelona, the winger has one goal and seven assists, including a two assists performance against Real Madrid last weekend.
