Video: Paredes Fires Third Goal Past Bordeaux for PSG

Paris Saint-Germain faced a hostile atmosphere at their home ground on Sunday as they hosted Football Club des Girondins de Bordeaux, but there were moments to celebrate.

After Kylian Mbappé and Neymar Jr. put PSG up 2-0, it was Leandro Paredes’ turn to surely put this match to rest.

In the 61st minute, Lionel Messi and Leandro Paredes linked up in the center of the park in an attacking move. Paredes found Mbappé on the wing who played a one-time cross into the box for Neymar. The Brazilian was taken out in the box, but Messi was quick to regain possession ahead of the Bordeaux goalkeeper. He was able to play a quick pass to Mbappé whose shot was deflected out to Paredes at the top of the box. After a brilliant shot fake, Paredes was able to blast a shot into the top of the goal with his left foot.

Paredes, who played well against Real Madrid mid-week before being subbed out, was saved from the jeers that rained down following Neymar’s goal.

The goal was the first for Paredes in Ligue 1 in 12 total appearances this season. With a victory, PSG will go 15 points clear of OGC Nice at the top of the Ligue 1 table.
