It’s been a rough day at the Parc des Princes for Neymar Jr. and his Paris Saint-Germain teammates.
Coming off the loss to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, PSG returned to Ligue 1 play and hosted last-place Football Club des Girondins de Bordeaux. Following Kylian Mbappé’s opener in the first half, it was Neymar’s turn to get on the scoresheet.
From a central position, Lionel Messi baited the Bordeaux defense and created just enough space for Achraf Hakimi to run into on the flank. Messi played an excellent through-ball to Hakimi who crossed to Neymar with his first touch. The Brazilian was all alone in front of the goal and finished with ease.

Following PSG’s second goal against Bordeaux, there were some cheers, but mostly jeers, as the Ultras continued to let Neymar know they were disappointed with his performance against Real Madrid.
Paris Saint-Germain will go 15 points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table with a win over Bordeaux.
