Keylor Navas joined Paris Saint-Germain from Real Madrid last summer and he’s been worth every penny of his €15 million transfer fee.
Through the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, which included two games against his former club, Navas only allowed two goals in six appearances. Against Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16, the Costa Rican kept a clean sheet in the pivotal second leg to help PSG advance to the quarter-finals.
The fact that PSG is one of only four clubs in the top leagues in Europe to not concede a penalty is also a testament to his decisiveness and defensive organization.
The season is currently on hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic and Navas is self-isolating in Costa Rica. While we all wait for the season resumes, enjoy this video from Dugout featuring some of the best saves from Navas this season.
