A Fifth Paris Saint-Germain Player Has Left France Due to the Coronavirus

France is on lockdown due to the coronavirus crisis but several foreign-born Paris Saint-Germain players have left the country to quarantine with friends and family in their home nations.

Mitchel Bakker (Netherlands), Edinson Cavani (Uruguay), Neymar Jr. (Brazil), and Thiago Silva (Brazil) all departed Paris earlier this month and the latest to make the same decision is Keylor Navas who, according to ESPN, boarded a private jet on Saturday morning with his wife and three children en route to San José, Costa Rica.

The 32-year-old goalkeeper spent approximately €180,000 for the 12-hour flight as travel restrictions have shut down commercial flights in France.

Navas and his family will now be quarantined for 14 days in Costa Rica per instructions from the Ministry of Health.

Since his arrival from Real Madrid last summer, Navas has provided some much-needed stability at the goalkeeper position. He has recorded 17 clean-sheets this season (including one against high-scoring Borussia Dortmund) and only allowed two goals in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
