Paris Saint-Germain’s Xavi Simons shone brightly during a crucial moment for the Netherlands at UEFA Euro 2024, making his mark in the semifinals against England.
Simons took the ball away from Arsenal’s Declan Rice, and rather than passing it, the 21-year-old fired a shot from outside the box to beat Everton’s Jordan Pickford for a goal in the seventh minute.
The PSG youngster has likely seen other young players have their moment in this tournament, and now he has his in a crucial match as the Netherlands are close to a final berth.
