Bradley Barcola Talks Ousmane Dembélé and Kylian Mbappé, Substitute Drama

Bradley Barcola scored in Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-0 first-leg win against Real Sociedad. Ahead of the second leg on Tuesday, Barcola spoke to the media about his relationship with Ousmane Dembélé and Kylian Mbappé and the recent drama at the club.

The 21-year-old is one of the top young French talents, and at PSG, the former Olympique Lyonnais star has a chance to learn from players like Dembélé and Mbappé. Barcola noted how the two FIFA World Cup winners have helped him.

“These are players that I watched when I was younger; they inspire me a lot,” Barcola told reporters (h/t Paris Fans). “It’s really great to be with them. They are there with me every day.

“We talk a lot, and on the field, they give me a lot of advice during matches or in training. I think it just happened naturally, and I am very happy to play with such great players today.”

Regarding Mbappé, there’s been a lot of drama surrounding the 25-year-old. Manager Luis Enrique pulled the French star in back-to-back games, with the second time seeing Mbappé not on the bench with his teammates but in the stands with his mother.

Despite his young age, Barcola knew when to sidestep a question the media was baiting him into to give a clickbaity response.

“Honestly, I was focused on my game, so I didn’t see what happened,” Barcola added. “I’m here to talk about tomorrow’s match, that’s all.”

Barcola will look to play a role in PSG advancing to the quarterfinals, as a goal or two definitely increases their odds.
