FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain will face off in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, with both teams feeling confident about their chances to advance to the semifinals.
The first leg is still a few weeks away, but the Spanish media has started previewing the matchup, and of course, they believe that Barcelona is the favorite between the two squads.
El Chiringuito’s Jose Alvarez Haya shared his thoughts on the matchup and noted that the Catalan side has the superior team heading into the first leg at the Parc des Princes next month.
“PSG indeed have Mbappé, who is a fantastic player, but PSG also have Asensio, Kang-in Lee, and Vitinha, who is a good player,” Alvarez said. Barcelona’s starting lineup is better than PSG’s—much better.”

The Spanish media is beginning to support Barcelona. However, in a recent interview with Le Parisien, Ludovic Giuly suggested that the La Liga team’s lack of a key player might be a disadvantage.
PSG have Kylian Mbappé in their squad, and Giuly notes that this could prove to be the difference maker in the tie. The 25-year-old has already achieved a hat-trick performance against Barcelona. Will there be an encore rendition this year?
