Barcelona Contemplates Sale of Standout Player Desired by Luis Enrique for PSG

Last summer, rumors circulated that Paris Saint-Germain expressed interest in FC Barcelona midfielder Pedri. Manager Luis Enrique coached the Spanish player with La Roja, so it was no surprise that he wanted him.

However, no deal ever came close to happening. Nonetheless, could the Parisians revisit the Pedri file this summer? Enrique isn’t planning on going anywhere, so PSG needs to find players that fit his system.

Spanish outlet Diario AS reported on Tuesday that Barcelona is concerned about Pedri’s condition after his latest injury. The youngster is one of the cornerstones for their project, but in these last three seasons, he has barely been able to play 50 percent of the games.

The report states that Barcelona acknowledges the impermanence of this situation and is actively seeking solutions to resolve it permanently. Currently, they are considering all scenarios, including the possibility of a summer sale, without ruling anything out.

If the Catalan side decides to be open to a sale, Enrique might push to ensure that PSG lands the player.
