Luis Enrique Urges PSG to Secure Barcelona’s Pedri in Midfield Overhaul – Report

Paris Saint-Germain could be saying goodbye to Marco Verratti this summer transfer window. As a result, the capital club has to find a replacement as the next face of the position. Who is that target? All eyes are on Pedri.

PSG Community reported on Friday that manager Luis Enrique has made recruiting Pedri a top priority to bolster their midfield options. Furthermore, Pedri himself is intrigued by the prospect of linking up with Enrique again at PSG.

The potential move, however, comes with a significant financial aspect. PSG would have to activate a temporary clause in Pedri’s contract, reportedly set at €110 million.

Meanwhile, FC Barcelona still faces financial constraints. The Spanish club is keen on generating funds to strengthen their squad and alleviate their financial woes.

As a result, Barcelona is open to the possibility of parting ways with Pedri if the right offer comes along.

The potential departure of Pedri would be a significant loss for FC Barcelona. The midfielder has emerged as a critical figure for the club since breaking into the first team.

In leading the negotiations for Pedri, PSG has enlisted Antero Henrique, who Doha has appointed to spearhead the discussions. Henrique, who previously served as PSG’s sporting director, could prove instrumental in securing the midfielder’s signature.
