Paris Saint-Germain are one of the top European clubs vying to land Palmeiras’ Estevao Willian. A report from Mundo Deporitvo in December noted that the Parisians, Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City are the clubs vying for the wonderkid.
Late last year, the player’s father visited Europe to check out the sports proposals from some interested parties. Much like his son, the Barcelona offer appealed to him the most, but the uncertainty from the Catalan side is making his signing more difficult.
Willian recently spoke about his future with Spanish media outlet Diario AS (h/t Le10Sport). He noted his goals in the short-term and in the long-term, which will excite any club seeing the mindset the player has for a teenager.
“I want to win trophies with Palmeiras,” Willian told the outlet. “I still think I can leave my mark here at Palmeiras and then, God willing, play in Europe, play in the Champions League, be the best in the world. It’s also my dream.”
PSG have already experienced success luring a top young Brazilian talent in Lucas Beraldo and hope that Gabriel Moscardo follows the same path. Could these two help in recruiting Willian and letting him know that the Parisians will allow him to reach his potential?
