Over the last few days, various reports have come out regarding the Kylian Mbappé transfer saga. A couple of outlets have revealed that the 25-year-old is heading to Real Madrid.
However, now an RMC Sport pundit is sharing his information. On Monday’s edition of Rothen s’enflamme, pundit Jérôme Rothen reported that the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner hasn’t decided on his future.
“He didn’t choose,” Rothen said. “If I’m telling you he didn’t choose, listen to me. These are JR25’s (Jérôme Rothen No. 25, Editor’s Note) info; he’s never wrong.”
With the UEFA Champions League first-leg match against Real Sociedad coming next week, it’s hard to envision Mbappé stating anything about his future. The team needs to focus on punching their ticket to the quarterfinals.
Although there’s no official word on what will happen, transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reported that those close to club president Florentino Pérez are convinced that Mbappé is prepared to transition to Real Madrid this time.
Despite previously rejecting the 14-time UEFA Champions League champions, the circumstances appear to have shifted this time. Will the forward finally leave for the Spanish capital, or is Real Madrid in store for another rejection?
