Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is under contract until 2026. However, there are still rumors that the Ligue 1 side could replace him, but the Italian is keen on continuing his tenure in the French capital.

Donnarumma has registered 13 clean sheets this 2023-24 season while conceding 24 goals in all competitions for the Parisians. A member of Donnarumma’s entourage recently spoke with Loïc Tanzi from L’Equipe and revealed how content the former AC Milan player is in Paris.

“Gianluigi is happy in this team,” the entourage member told the journalist. “He has found his place in the locker room. He really appreciates his teammates and the atmosphere around the team this season. Above all, he has the confidence of his coach; that’s the most important thing.”

In a recent column for Le Parisien, Jérôme Alonzo claims that the UEFA Euro 2020 winner is not only the undisputed goalkeeper at PSG, but there’s another bold remark. Alonzo believes that in Donnarumma, the Parisians have a top-five player in his position.

Observing whether the capital club shares Alonzo’s sentiment will be intriguing. Speculations have emerged in recent months regarding the possibility of the Ligue 1 side pursuing AC Milan’s Mike Maignan.
