Pundit Urges Mbappé for Transparency on Future Amid PSG-Real Madrid Battle

The Kylian Mbappé transfer saga will start in a few days once the January window opens. Once the calendar turns to 2024, the 25-year-old can sign a pre-contract with any club, with his contract expiring next June.

While it’s a mystery what the Frenchman will do, the decision is again down to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. Nonetheless, the puzzling way that Mbappé has handled the saga concerns one pundit.

For RMC Sport pundit Daniel Riolo, the striker must come out of the silence and talk about his future for the good of everyone.

“He had a painfully managed summer; even if I always said that the fault was certainly more on the club’s side than his, he was not totally perfect either,” Riolo said (h/t Canal Supporters). “I think it was more the club that messed up than him, but he never spoke.

“He hasn’t spoken for a year. Even in the French team’s last matches, he did not speak, even though he’s captain, and he skipped the press conferences. With PSG, he doesn’t speak; with the Blues, he stops talking. He is afraid of being asked questions. Before, he was a boy who was afraid of nothing.”

Los Blancos will have a deadline for how long the player accepts their proposal. According to reports, Real Madrid will wait 15 days to see if the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner takes their proposal.

As for PSG, the capital club is moving behind the scenes. Paris has evaluated two project scenarios – one involving Mbappé and the other excluding him.
