Kylian Mbappé Surpasses Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, & Neymar with His Astonishing Stat

Paris Saint-Germain winger Kylian Mbappé turned 25 years old on Wednesday. As he approaches his prime years, the Frenchman has reached many milestones and achievements.

OptaJean put together a thread, and one stat that the X account highlighted was the number of goals Mbappé has scored for club and country. Additionally, he put his numbers alongside some of the best players in the last decade and where the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner stacks up.

The PSG star scored 304 goals in 416 matches before turning 25, and it’s the best mark of any player. Mbappé’s former Parisian teammates, Neymar Jr. (280 in 468 matches) and Lionel Messi (279 in 399 matches), are behind him. However, the number of goals he scored blows Messi’s and Neymar’s totals away.

Rounding out the top five is Erling Haaland, who will still be adding to his total with 233 goals in 270 matches, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 160 goals in 409 games.

It will be interesting to see where Mbappé continues to score goals. The 2022 FIFA World Cup runner-up will be a free agent in June 2024 and can sign a pre-contract with any club in a few days once the calendar turns to Jan. 1, 2024.
