Former Barcelona Club Chief Has Pushed for Job with PSG – Report

Luis Campos oversees Paris Saint-Germain’s project, but the Portuguese club chief is technically a sporting advisor. However, could the Ligue 1 giants want someone full-time and not managing other projects?

Sports Zone reports that former FC Barcelona Mateu Alemany has offered to join PSG twice in the last three months. What is the reason why he could be interested in coming to the French capital?

The information reveals that Alemany has an excellent relationship with Luis Enrique. Nonetheless, unless the situation turns around, he should join Atletico Madrid.

Alemany left the Catalan side after Deco’s appointment as Barcelona’s director of football was made official in August. The Spaniard almost left Barça for a job at Aston Villa in the Premier League a few months ago. However, after a visit to Birmingham, he changed his mind and returned to Catalonia.

Despite questions about Campos’ future in the past, his summer transfer window might have quieted any doubts. Furthermore, the club chief might be the only card that PSG can play in keeping Kylian Mbappé past this 2023-24 season.
