What Ousmane Dembélé Must Improve for Successful Barcelona to PSG Switch, Ex-Manager Reveals

Ousmane Dembélé has yet to register a goal or an assist through five games with Paris Saint-Germain. Nonetheless, the 26-year-old is showing encouraging signs that he’ll get that burden off his back soon.

The PSG winger was even named to CBS Sports’ Team of the Week for Matchday 1 of the UEFA Champions League. So what does the former FC Barcelona star need to work on to begin finding the back of the net or assisting on a goal?

Former manager Julien Stéphan shared his opinion on what Dembélé needs to work on to ensure that the forward successfully transitions from the Catalan side to the Parisians.

“Where he needs to improve is his efficiency in the penalty area, but that’s nothing new,” Stéphan told Le Parisien. “Ousmane has work to do in finishing.”

Luis Enrique also touted what he’s seeing from Dembélé, so the Frenchman is putting the minor details together. Now it’s just putting the ball in the net or providing that assist for the goal.

Even though some people are trolling the PSG star’s stat line, it seems that those who are in or cover the sport see the encouraging signs, and it might be a matter of time before those zeros are a thing of the past.
