How PSG’s Warren Zaire-Emery Is a Special Player, per Christophe Galtier

Paris Saint-Germain has long had issues keeping their young talent from the academy. Nonetheless, it appears the situation is changing as the capital club looks to hold onto Warren Zaire-Emery.

Former PSG manager Christophe Galtier began integrating the 17-year-old midfielder into the starting 11. Zaire-Emery began making appearances last season under the French tactician.

Galtier began talking about his experience as PSG manager, and one of the topics was about the teenager. The 57-year-old noted that Zaire-Emery is a special player because he possesses.

“Everyone realized that he was not like the others,” Galtier told CANAL+ in a recent interview (h/t Foot Mercato). “He is in love with the club, passionate about football. He is already doing the job at [17].”

Luis Enrique has continued putting Zaire-Emery in the starting 11 and hasn’t changed course. The youngster will reportedly be part of the group that starts in the UEFA Champions League contest against Borussia Dortmund.

Furthermore, reports suggest that sporting advisor Luis Campos did not desire to pursue Jude Bellingham because he felt that the Frenchman is at the same level as the 20-year-old who eventually joined Real Madrid.
