The Neymar Jr. transfer saga remains ongoing, and the rumors of the 31-year-old’s departure have gotten louder over the last few days. FC Barcelona remains a reported destination, but it isn’t straightforward.
Nonetheless, the prospect of the Brazilian returning to Camp Nou has made its way to the Barcelona locker room. Club captain Sergi Roberto spoke about the issue and is willing to welcome back Neymar with open arms.
“I have spoken with Neymar and he would be excited to return,” Roberto told SPORT. “I’m sure Ney would contribute a lot to us, but in the end, I’m not the one who decides. So those in charge of deciding if he comes or doesn’t come will decide what is best for the club.”

However, if the Catalan side wants their former player, they must pay a transfer fee. While PSG looks to move off from the player, they’re unwilling to give him away. As a result, any interested club needs to come up with a serious offer.
There are a few weeks until the summer transfer window closes, so this saga will not drag out. PSG is content with keeping Neymar, knowing that Lionel Messi is no longer there and Kylian Mbappé is likely to exit.
