Real Madrid Urged to Break Deadlock in Toxic Mbappé Saga at PSG – Report

The atmosphere at Paris Saint-Germain has grown increasingly fraught as the saga surrounding the future of Kylian Mbappé continues.

Mbappé began this entire saga when he opted not to trigger the option to extend his contract until 2025. As a result, the capital club needs to find a solution to avoid losing him next summer as a free agent.

ESPN’s Julien Laurens reports that the situation has escalated to a point where the Qatari ownership may consider banning Mbappé from their stadium if he doesn’t extend his contract, let alone play for the club again.

Amidst this toxic backdrop, all eyes turn to Real Madrid. The Spanish giants need to take decisive action to unlock the ongoing standoff.

However, they could play the waiting game to secure the player as a free agent. Still, they need a striker, a position the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner doesn’t enjoy, to replace Karim Benzema’s production.

These next few weeks will be interesting to see if Real Madrid comes with a late bid or if PSG will have to face the reality of holding onto Mbappé and then seeing him leave next June.
