Although Paris Saint-Germain is in the race for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani, they could be hatching up a Plan B. Currently, Gonçalo Ramos is the only No. 9, so they need a second to generate competition.
While there’s optimism over the Kolo Muani file, PSG could be looking at Chelsea outcast Romelu Lukaku. According to transfer specialist Gianluca Di Marzio, the French giants and FC Barcelona could battle to sign the 30-year-old on a loan deal.
Si Chelsea s'ouvre à laisser Lukaku partir en prêt, alors Barcelone et le PSG (s'ils ne parviennent pas à signer Kolo Muani) pourraient décider de signer le Belge. @DiMarzio

Kolo Muani is Plan A, and the Ligue 1 giants hope to get a deal done before the summer transfer window closes on Sept. 1. Still, they cannot allow Ramos to be the only striker on the team.
Kylian Mbappé has made it clear he has no desire to play the No. 9 role, so PSG cannot run Ramos into the ground while playing three competitions this 2023-24 season.
Lukaku is still in his prime and would be a good backup option, but should PSG go for the Belgium international, it likely means Ramos will have the starter’s job and could only lose it.
