Inter Miami has never hidden its desire to bring Lionel Messi to MLS and after Paris Saint-Germain crashed out in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 again, it might bolster their chances to lure the 35-year-old to South Florida.
Messi’s contract with PSG expires in June and many would like to see the two parties part ways. If the capital club is ready to pull the plug on the experiment with the Argentine, Inter Miami is preparing to pull all the stops to land him.
L’Equipe recently reported (h/t Paris Fans), citing sources, that the MLS side is ready to make any sacrifices, especially financial ones, to attract Messi this summer.
Furthermore, the club co-owned by David Beckham, wants to give the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner a package including real estate around their future stadium. Inter Miami appears to be ready to go beyond the pitch to bring Messi.
It will be interesting to see if this is enough for the 35-year-old to leave Europe for the United States. A recent report from Mundo Deportivo noted that Messi doesn’t want to take a step below in competition but these incentives could change his mind.
If Lionel Messi goes to inter Milan it will be great
