Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe provided an update and thanked the many people that sent their good wishes.
The France international suffered a ruptured right Achilles tendon in the contest against Olympique de Marseille on Sunday. It has been a challenging 2022-23 season for Kimpembe, who recently returned from a hamstring injury.
“A big THANK YOU for all your messages of support,” Kimpembe said Tuesday on Twitter. “The operation went well. A big thank you to all the medical staff of @psg and to Professor James Calder. Warriors always come back stronger.”
