Ligue 1: Poll Reveals How Many Argentinians Would Vote for Lionel Messi for President

Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi has many ventures he can get into once his footballing career ends. One of them could be politics. 

The 35-year-old is very popular in Argentina after winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. So a poll was conducted by Giacobbe & Associates (h/t Marca) and revealed that most of the country would vote for Messi if he ever ran for president. 

According to the data revealed by Jorge Giacobbe, 43.7 percent of those surveyed would vote for Messi to be the new inhabitant of the Casa Rosada. In comparison, 37.8 percent answered with a resounding no.

17.5 percent of the participants in the survey answered that they might vote for the PSG star for president and 0.9 percent did not know or did not answer.

Furthermore, Messi surpassed in the survey all the politicians against whom he was competing in the question of which of them they would vote for if they were candidates.
