Di Marzio Drops a Key Prediction on Mbappe’s PSG Future Amid Real Madrid, Liverpool Links

The Kylian Mbappe exit rumors once again ramped up last week. Mbappe reportedly prefers to soon leave Paris Saint-Germain, as he “feels at odds with the club’s direction” both on and off the pitch.

From Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio’s standpoint, he does not see that PSG will look to soon part ways with Mbappe, who signed off on a multiyear contract extension deal in May.

“I don’t think PSG, who last year decided to refuse €180 million euros when the contract was still six months, will let him go in the same situation,” Di Marzio told Wettfreunde. “Because they decided to create a brand with him. The image of Kylian, for PSG, for the World Cup in Qatar. We all know how important it is for the owners of PSG to have Kylian in this team.

“Even if Kylian might be disappointed now because of some false promises. … The club pays the player and he is paid very well. He has the sports director he wanted. He wanted Leonardo out and Leonardo was out. Even if what I read is true, I don’t think PSG will let him go. Not Real Madrid, not Liverpool. No, in general.”

Even if Di Marzio does not believe that PSG will be open to jumpstarting transfer talks with the likes of Real Madrid and Liverpool for Mbappe, he does see that these two powerhouse clubs are the only ones capable of even being able to take on his hefty contract.

“I don’t think it’s possible, even if Real Madrid and Liverpool are the only two clubs that can afford his salary and have the ability to pay PSG,” Di Marzio said.

For now, PSG has its full attention set on the first half of its season, and it will return to action with an away fixture against AC Ajaccio on Ligue 1 matchday 12
