Paris Saint-Germain had scored five or more goals in the three Ligue 1 fixtures to kick off the 2022-23 season. However, the capital club could not replicate the performance against AS Monaco, who were more physical with their pressing.
After the 1-1 draw on Sunday at the Parc des Princes, PSG defender Sergio Ramos spoke about the challenges that Monaco brought the team but added that the result is something they’re happy to walk away with a point.
“Yes, in the end, it was not an easy match,” Ramos told Prime Video Sport France postgame. “They are a team that changed their system, and it was difficult to beat them.
“This is a result that does not entirely suit us. But anyway, in a game like this, it’s better to take a point than none. It was a very complicated team.”
