Report: PSG Pushes for Monaco Star Defender Before Summer Transfer Window Closes

Paris Saint-Germain is in the mix to improve their central defense before the summer transfer window closes on Thursday. After reportedly striking out on Inter Milan defender Milan Škriniar, the capital club is shifting its attention to AS Monaco’s Axel Disasi.

With only a few days left to add more depth to the central defense, French football journalist Saber Desfarges reported on Sunday that PSG is stepping up their pursuit of Disasi.

Perhaps convinced by his performance during the 1-1 draw between AS Monaco and PSG, discussions for the 24-year-old have intensified. Furthermore, the current Ligue 1 champions could draw an offer in the coming hours.

Desfarges adds in his reporting that some players on the capital club squad are aware of the interest in Disasi, but he doesn’t reveal the names. The France international is under contract until 2025, and with only a few days left, Monaco could raise the price for PSG’s late interest in Disasi.
