It has been quite a while since Angel Di Maria last featured in a fixture for Paris Saint-Germain. The Argentine playmaker has not played in a match for PSG since its UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg encounter with Real Madrid, as he has been sidelined as of late due to a hamstring injury.
As noted by RMC Sport, Di Maria made his return to collective training on Tuesday, which comes five days before PSG’s Ligue 1 home fixture against Olympique de Marseille.
PSG’s attack has begun to turn the corner as of late, which includes scoring a total of 11 goals in its last two league fixtures. Thus, Di Maria may not go on to earn a start against Marseille should he be cleared to play in the fixture.
With Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe expected to start against Marseille, PSG is well projected to go on and clinch a home victory over its longtime Ligue 1 rival.
