Mauro Icardi’s venture with Paris Saint-Germain hasn’t gone as planned, so it comes as no surprise that the capital club was in the market for a striker during the January transfer window.
During an interview with beIN Sports, former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stated that there were contacts between his camp and the French giants.
“It is true that there was contact with my father. It wasn’t just them; there were also some on the side of Italy,” Aubameyang said.
Although the alleged interest from PSG was there, the 32-year-old ended up joining FC Barcelona after Arsenal announced Aubameyang’s departure from the club by mutual consent.
