Paredes Drops a Major Hint on Herrera’s Post-PSG Plans

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Ander Herrera has two more seasons remaining on his current contract deal with the club, but he may already have an aim on joining one South American powerhouse.

In speaking to PSG TV, PSG midfielder Leandro Paredes touched on what it has been like to play at La Bombonera, which is home to notable Argentinian side Boca Juniors. The Argentine star went on to note that Herrera is well intrigued by the possibility of one day playing at this iconic venue.

“Incredible, incredible,” Paredes said. “It’s wonderful. A lot of players like playing there. There are players who want to play there, like Ander Herrera, who wants to play there before he retires. I hope he can.”

As mentioned, Herrera may not be leaving the club anytime soon, as he still has two years left on his contract. Still, numerous European players before have opted to join Boca Juniors over the latter stages of their careers.

Herrera has opened up before on his aspiration to one day play for Boca Juniors. Paredes would like to one day return to the Argentinian powerhouse, so it sure would not be a surprise to one day see Herrera and the one-time Copa America winner lead Boca Juniors’ midfield setup.
