Report: Mauro Icardi Has No Intention to Leave PSG Ahead of January Window Opening

The January transfer window will open in a couple of weeks, and names are beginning to surface on who might depart Paris Saint-Germain. One possible departure is striker Mauro Icardi.

After a highly publicized affair that resulted in the PSG striker reconciling with his wife and agent, Wanda Nara, there were reports that Icardi might want a move to a club where there isn’t as much media coverage.

However, RMC Sport reports that Icardi has no desire to leave the French capital. The 28-year-old is under contract until 2024 and plans to stick around with PSG past the winter transfer window.

Icardi’s entourage confides that the striker does not wish to leave Les Parisiens this January. The former Inter Milan captain is not in contact with any other club, and he knows it is difficult to find a starting position elsewhere at this time of year.

If an offer is presented to his agent, Icardi will refuse it. Nonetheless, the only way the striker could depart is if PSG indicates that he no longer has a place at the club. Only then will the forward consider any proposal.

Icardi has made 17 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants this season, scoring three goals and zero assists.
