Paris Saint-Germain wants to offload some players this January as the capital club hopes to trim its wage bill. There are obvious candidates that the Ligue 1 side would like to part ways, such as Layvin Kurzawa and Rafinha, but other players can see the door too.
According to the Italian media outlet La Repubblica (via Paris Fans), Juventus FC expresses interest in midfielder Ander Herrera ahead of the January transfer window opening.
The report states that Juventus is eyeing Borussia Dortmund’s Axel Witsel and Bayern Munich’s Corentin Tolisso. It seems as though the Serie A side wants a midfielder with experience, which explains these targets.
Herrera has inconsistent playing time at PSG, so a move to Turin is possible to bring his experience, energy, and technical quality. When it comes to what type of deal Juventus would offer, the report doesn’t state, but it seems they want a loan deal considering that’s what they reportedly want for Mauro Icardi.
The 32-year-old has made 87 appearances with the French giants scoring six goals and six assists since joining the club in 2019.
