There has been no denying that Lionel Messi has been quite active in Paris Saint-Germain’s attack so far in the Ligue 1 campaign.
Whether as a playmaker or when it comes to racking up shot attempts, Messi has certainly not shied away from getting involved in attacking sequences with his PSG teammates.
For one, the Argentine forward has averaged a notable 3.8 shots per game so far in league play this season, as noted by WhoScored. This figure ranks only below PSG forward Kylian Mbappe (3.9) among all Ligue 1 players so far in the campaign.
Of course, this is far from surprising, as Messi also had his way with notching a high volume of shot attempts per game during his run with Barcelona. He averaged a noteworthy 5.6 shots per game in his final season in La Liga, to where he was able to total for 30 goals in 35 matches played.
For now, Messi sure will look to lead PSG to a key win up next in the away league encounter with RC Lens.
