Gianluigi Donnarumma did his best to put on his superman cape and rescue the Paris Saint-Germain from their defensive blunders.
The 22-year-old saved a penalty kick to prevent the capital club from going down 2-0. Donnarumma guessed right on the second penalty kick that PSG conceded, but the shot was out of reach, leading to the 2-2 draw.
Ahead of the match against FC Girondins de Bordeaux, manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke about the goalkeeping situation between Donnarumma and Keylor Navas at his press conference.
“I am satisfied with both goalkeepers, and they are responding positively to this situation. We are talking about very high-level goalkeepers; they respond in a very good way,” Pochettino said.
“The situation is good. There may be a decision that will be made, but the way of sharing [of playing time] is going very well. There is a good relationship between them. They are very competitive.”
The Italy international keeps putting forth performances that suggest he’s the number one, but PSG plans to stick to their commitment to splitting the starts.
