Lionel Messi will miss his second consecutive match for Paris Saint-Germain when the capital club travels to the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux. The 34-year-old was reportedly in Madrid seeking medical treatment for his injured hamstring.
Nonetheless, the injury didn’t keep Messi from receiving a call-up from the Argentina national team as the PSG forward will head to South America for the international break.
“He won’t be available tomorrow. He will travel with the national team. We hope that he will be available for his national team and that he can come back afterward,” Pochettino said.
“Leandro, I don’t know if he’s going to go … But I think the rule is that the players have to go to the national team when they are called up. And Leo arrives, him, in the period when he will be available again.”
