The FIFA international window is this week, and Paris Saint-Germain sees various players leave for their national team, including Lionel Messi. Despite dealing with an injury, Argentina national team manager Lionel Scaloni called up the 34-year-old.

Mundo Deportivo reports that Messi plans to play in both of Argentina’s matches against Uruguay and Brazil. The PSG forward wants to participate in these two games due to the meaning of these rivalries and because La Albiceleste could seal its World Cup qualification to Qatar.

Furthermore, the Spanish media outlet reports that Messi intends to play all 90 minutes for Argentina. The PSG superstar was recently in Madrid getting treatment for the muscle problem that he has suffered in his left hamstring.

PSG will be observing each minute that Messi plays over this break as Leonardo, the capital club’s sporting director, recently stated that Messi has been more with Argentina than with Les Parisiens.

As a result, Argentina doesn’t seek to generate tensions with PSG and will moderate Messi’s minutes as a good gesture.
