Angel Di Maria is set to be out of a contract next year, but he reportedly does not aspire to leave Paris Saint-Germain just yet.
As noted by L’Equipe (via Le10Sport), Di Maria is aiming to sign a one-year contract extension deal with PSG to prolong his stay at the club.
The Argentine playmaker was set to be a free agent in the summer, but he wound up ending speculation over whether he would leave the club when he signed off on a one-year extension deal last season.
Now, the Argentine once again aims to come to terms with PSG club officials for a one-year deal before making a return to South America to end his career there, the report added.
The PSG midfielder has noted before that he would like to one day return to Argentine side Rosario Central — a club with which he made his professional debut with. Still, it is not known whether he still has these same aspirations or if he is possibly eyeing another South American club to possibly retire at.
Di Maria has scored two goals in all competitions with PSG so far in the ongoing season.
