The injury list is continuing to pile up for Paris Saint-Germain over the ongoing September international break.
PSG midfielder Marco Verratti recently returned to the club after being released early from international duty with the Italian national team.
As noted by PSG’s official website, Verratti recently suffered a knock to his left knee. He is expected to continue to undergo treatment for this new minor injury over the coming days.
PSG will further evaluate his condition on Thursday. From there, the club may then decide on his possible availability for its upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Clermont Foot.
Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are all currently expected to miss PSG’s league fixture against Clermont. Out of this trio, Mbappe is the only player dealing with an injury, as he has recently been sidelined due to a calf injury.
It surely is not a good time for PSG to have multiple injuries within its team, especially as it will open up UEFA Champions League group stage play next week.
