Real Madrid has hit overdrive in their pursuit of Kylian Mbappé as they want to land the player this summer rather than waiting until next year to land the 22-year-old. As Los Blancos look to work out a deal, the Spanish media decided to ask manager Carlo Ancelotti about the transfer rumor.
While speaking with the media Ancelotti, answered a question over Mbappé and refrain from discussing the ongoing discussions. Nonetheless, the Italian tactician stated that Mbappé is a quality player but added he’s happy with his squad.
“With a lot of respect, I have to say it’s a matter that the club is managing,” Ancelotti said. “For me, I’m thinking about tomorrow’s game and the players too. It’s a matter for the club; I understand it interests everyone, but right now, I can’t say more.”
“If I say Mbappe is a great player, I speak the truth. I have to repeat; we have a fantastic squad. I’m focused on that. We have a squad that can compete with any team in the world. I’m happy with the squad I have. If the squad improves, that’s even better for everyone.”
