Lionel Messi is on the verge of making his debut with Paris Saint-Germain, and the effect that the 34-year-old is having on French football is being felt. Without confirmation that Messi will be starting, Stade Brestois 29 sold out their tickets for Friday’s fixture against the capital club.
In an interview with Foot.fr, Olympique Lyonnais forward Moussa Dembélé discussed what it means for Ligue 1 to have Messi. However, the 25-year-old does state that the Argentine is an adversary once kick-off starts.
“It’s a good thing, a plus for Ligue 1. This is a player who has made so many things in football, I respect him, but it remains an adversary,” Dembélé said.
