Stade Rennais’ Eduardo Camavinga is the top priority of Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, who has personally taken control of the operations. Furthermore, the 18-year-old reportedly wants to join the capital club this summer, which isn’t something that Rennes wants to hear.
Rennes is now demanding €100-million from the French giants, which is a bit rich, and seems like the asking price out of anger. Furthermore, Camavinga only has one more year left on his contract, so Rennes isn’t exactly in a position of power to make that demand.
Furthermore, PSG won’t pay that price despite them wanting Camavinga. Nonetheless, Le Parisien (via Foot01) reports that Les Parisiens will only be willing to pay between €40-€50-million to secure the teenager.
PSG sporting director Leonardo has a good working relationship with Rennes’ technical director Florian Maurice. However, this shouldn’t result in a transfer occurring quickly with Camavinga being in Paris over the next few days. Regardless, the capital club is hopeful that the club chief can massage any tensions and secure the transfer.
