PSG Mercato: Eduardo Camavinga Turns Down Arsenal and Other European Giants; Wants Move to Paris SG

This summer, Paris Saint-Germain wants to strengthen its midfielder. With this in mind, the capital club is interested in several players, including Stade Rennais FC Eduardo Camavinga, and there’s possibly a mutual interest.

According to RMC Sport’s Mohamed Bouhafsi, the 18-year-old has stated to Rennes that he will not extend his contract, which expires next year, and that his preferred destination is Les Parisiens. As a result, Rennes needs to start discussing a potential transfer.

When it comes to the potential transfer fee that the French giants would have to pay potentially, Bouhafsi reports that Rennes wants €100-million. Transfermarkt puts Camavinga’s transfer value at €60-million; meanwhile, Football Observatory has the teenager’s worth between €20-€30 -million.

If PSG can secure the future of its midfielder with a transfer for Camavinga, they would beat out clubs like Real Madrid, Arsenal FC, FC Bayer Munich, among other big clubs looking to land the promising midfielder.

Real Madrid is saving its dollars for Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé. Arsenal won’t be playing in the UEFA Champions League or any European competition. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich won’t be willing to pay the price.

With Camavinga wanting to play for PSG; it will be interesting to see if Leonardo, the club’s sporting director, can get Rennes to lower their asking price.
