The France national team recently put Kylian Mbappé to its 86 pool of players for the Tokyo Olympics this summer. Other Paris Saint-Germain players on the preliminary list include Colin Dagba and Arnaud Kalimuendo.
Nonetheless, Mbappé has made it known that he doesn’t rule out playing in both the UEFA European Championship and Olympics in one summer, which could cause some problems with PSG.
According to Le Parisien, the French giants oppose Mbappé going to the Olympics, considering he will be playing for the France national team at the European Championship.
With clubs not forced to release their players for the Olympics, it will be something that PSG has to discuss with Mbappé. Furthermore, with contract extension talks ongoing, it’s something that the 22-year-old could leverage this wish in negotiations.
It will be interesting to see whether PSG decides to allow for Mbappé to play in the Olympics, especially if it’s a demand the player is making during the extension talks with Les Parisiens.
