Alessandro Florenzi got the start for Paris Saint-Germain at right-back and played 77 minutes before departing the match. Despite getting the nod to start the game, the 30-year-old watched from the bench as five goals were scored in less than 20 minutes.
Florenzi spoke to PSG TV to discuss the 3-2 victory over AS Saint-Étienne. Canal Supporters relayed the comments made by the Italy international as the French giants came away with three crucial points as the fight for Ligue 1 continues.
“Seeing the end of the game from the sidelines was complicated, but Mauro scored a great goal, and we are happy with the victory. Now we want to continue. Winning is never easy, but the team is working hard to achieve these results,” Florenzi said.
“We know that if we play like this, we will get there because I think we played well. But we can always improve. We have all three points today, and we are focusing on the next game.”
